Specialty Bakery

A specialty bakery brand, already well known in another market, opened a new location inside a busy shopping mall under a brand-new name. The products were already proven, but locally almost nobody knew the new name, and the store had very little marketing in place.

Challenge

A new name means starting from zero. Shoppers walking past the store didn’t recognize the brand, sales were slower than they should have been, and there was almost no advertising or social media presence. At the same time, many people in the area already knew and loved the original brand, and most of them had no idea it was now nearby.

Solution

We started with research: local keyword demand and a population-based estimate of how many potential customers live within reach of the store. From there we built a launch plan with two audiences in mind. For people who already knew the original brand, the marketing leans on that familiarity to let them know their favorite cakes are now close by. For everyone else, it introduces the new brand. Google Ads reach people searching for cakes and desserts nearby, geofencing reaches shoppers in the surrounding area, and Facebook and Instagram ads plus ongoing social media management keep the bakery in front of local customers.

Results

The bakery went from almost no marketing to a full local launch running across search, location-based ads and social media, with a clear message for each audience and a plan built on real local demand instead of guesswork.
